We’ll be experiencing a Solar Eclipse today in Capricorn. Poor Sun. He’s up there in the crocodile, where he usually doesn’t like to be, but today the party is even darker. Saturn is there, the Maitre des Lieux – the Lord of Capricorn. These two don’t like each other. There’s no food there, they’re both starving each other by being in each other’s company. Ketu and Pluto are there too, making this downright heavy. Ketu also doesn’t like the Sun and Pluto thrives under this type of darkness. Tonight, the Moon will eclipse the Sun. There’s definitely a sense of the Sun taking a huge blow. If we think of the Sun as our sense of being inspired, you’ll see how you might find yourself restless, demotivated, inconsequent and apathetic. The Darkness seems to have won over the Light and all you can do, is manage it the best you can with the help of Mercury who joined the party last.
Now that that’s said, I see this as a huge opportunity to get in touch with not only the pain that you’ve accumulated but with that of your ancestors. It’s a bit like walking through a dark castle with no flashlight. Use this opportunity to explore senses that you’re not usually using in your day-to-day experience. The crocodile doesn’t like change, so don’t look forwards. Look INSIDE. Ask yourself who you really are in your deepest corners and let what you find come up to the surface. It might not be pretty, but this feels like a channel that can bring us to a secret passage to SELF.
Jupiter and Mars are both in their own signs. That helps with being focussed towards a goal that is inspiring and noble. This is an opportunity to make a commitment to ourselves since all this party is happening in Saturn’s castle. Saturn loves thoroughness. This could very well be the beginning of a road where we can see how we are different from other people. This can also be a journey through deeper truths about who we are.
