Health Basics

Every disease comes from a violation of a natural law“. We live in a body that follows natural laws, in a body that is programmed to work well, and it will follow its evolution even after Spirit has moved on.

A human body will begin and will continue living through inhaling oxygen. Our first oxygen intake coincides with the beginning of our lives. It is the moment consciousness enters flesh. Oxygen is what makes the distinction between someone being alive in a body and a human body that has no life in it.

This first point is crucial in order to live healthily. Pollution, smoking, any type of fractured, incomplete breathing, will contribute to an anaerobic state which leads the body to become dysfunctional.

The next important aspect of a good functioning of the body is the excretory system. Even if living on thin air, cells of our body have a limited time-span of functioning after which, they will die. What is left, the residues of the dead cells need to be processed and eliminated safely and integrally. The most obvious ways to eliminate toxins are the urine (4-6 times a day, yellow, odorant) and the feces (in the morning, in various shades of brown, +/-20 cm, easy to expel, non-odorous.) For women at the age of procreation, a normal “period” should last between 4 and 6 days, eliminating red blood, pleasantly fragrant. Any large deviations from these norms are alarm bells that the body is not eliminating residues properly and will tend to build them up and create disease.

Drinking water is a very controversial subject these days. Some schools of thought recommend that the intake of food should be equal to the intake of water. Others consider that water should only be drunk when we are thirsty. No matter which approach you agree with, drinking water involves several considerations:

  • water needs to be clean, natural, without anything added to it. As soon as we add something to water, it will pass through the Digestive system rather than through the hydration system. Juice, tea, lemon-water, will not hydrate cells but nourish the body. “All that is not pure water dehydrates the body! “
  • in order for our cells to get hydrated, water has to be drank before eating (30 minutes) or after (90 minutes). Water in combination with food does not count for hydrating the body.
  • Drink in small sips, room-temperature water.

Food is another controversial subject nowadays. I have lived in cultures that have meat-based diets, I have many friends who are strict vegans. I will not enter this possible debate here as this is not where my focus is. I will just say that I think our body will only be able to digest and be nourished by whatever resonates with its level of consciousness. Can we control that? Can we really control anything? I will enter this debate in future posts.

Several general considerations on food:

  • The first step in assimilating nutrients from food, is to chew it properly. We should only swallow food in the form of a paste. As someone so funny put it once, the stomach doesn’t have teeth. The acids in our stomach can only do so much in breaking up food – the rest will go to waste!! This explains why people who eat fast, who don’t chew properly, people with dental issues, will consistently get fat. The body will keep demanding nutrients as if they were eating very few calories.
  • another important element to consider, is the quality of food we ingest. Either it is an animal product or a plant-based one, our food needs to be as close to natural as possible, non-treated with chemicals and fed with what naturally that organism would survive on naturally.
