ACE of SPADES

  • a sprouting seed cracks the ground under which it has laid for some time as it is born out of the Earth.
  • something unknown coming to the surface
  • a secret, a revelation, or a way to experience ourselves that is newly discovered

TWO of SPADES

  • A splitting seed sinking its roots deep into the ground as it rises on a stalk above the earth with the smallest curl of a new leaf just becoming visible.
  • connecting with something that will sustain us
  • becoming aware of a need and doing whatever it takes to fulfill that need

THREE of SPADES

  • Three small leaves expanding from within a split seed which continues to expand into a larger, though yet fragile seedling that rises away from the ground.
  • being in a really vulnerable place, from where one needs to struggle to raise past

FOUR of SPADES

  • A seedling whose bark has hardened
  • a person that has gotten to a point where they are no longer being threatened and can start growing at a more enjoyable rate

FIVE of SPADES

  • A young tree whose roots struggle to find soil that can provide for its greater growth, while its trunk reaches towards the sky where it may find the solar energy with which to grow.
  • Like all other fives, you do your best, you make your best judgement call, but then it is going to take grace and luck if that judgement is going to work out

SIX of SPADES

  • A mature tree who settles into a state of stable growth.
  • Making the most of what we can in our lives.
  • living as robustly, as powerfully as one has the potential to.

SEVEN of SPADES

  • A large tree who has reached its limits of growth
  • self-imposed limits or environmental limitations, but it's the limits based on who the person is
  • shows the limits of what you can handle, what you can accomplish, what you can do to survive

EIGHT of SPADES

  • A tree cracked with several old dead limbs, yet a few limbs still hold vibrant leaves.
  • stuck in a cage where you cannot express yourself (wheelchair, coma, jail)
  • also the withdrawal of all the life force in deeper inner contemplation

NINE of SPADES

  • A dead uprooted tree.
  • the card of yoga, of all the life leaving the body
  • death
  • a termination, an ending card, where life is no longer going to express itself towards that thing

TEN of SPADES

  • In the shade of young trees are several seeds sprouting from the Earth near the base of a large uprooted tree.
  • the person will be able to do whatever it takes to pass all the difficulties surrounding the event they are inquiring about

JACK of SPADES

  • A Personification of the creative force of nature that brings about the Ace, 2 and 3 of spades
  • courage, you see the willingness to risk, a chance of doing something great where you are willing to risk it all, the same way that a seed is willing to risk its destruction the minute it shoots out of the ground

QUEEN of SPADES

  • Personification of the preservative force of nature that brings about the 4, 5 and 6 of spades
  • is that process of developing into what we really are, not because of anything in the world, not because of something somebody taught us, or because we are dependent on somebody, but because it's in our makeup to become that thing

KING of SPADES

  • The destructive force of nature that brings about the 7, 8 and 9 of spades
  • withdraw from something personally, and let life have its way
